Chinatown Connect respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how specific device permissions such as camera access are used in the app.

- business information submitted by merchants
- offer, event, lucky draw, and reward activity within the app
- device and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service
- push notification tokens for messages you choose to receive

We use information to:
- create and manage customer, merchant, and management accounts
- publish and manage deals, lucky draws, events, and business listings
- process voucher claims, redemptions, event participation, and merchant submissions
- send operational notifications and service messages
- maintain security, prevent misuse, and support administration
3. Camera permission
On Android and iOS, the app may request camera access for merchant voucher redemption.
Camera access is used only to scan QR codes when an authorised merchant or staff member redeems a customer voucher inside the merchant portal area of the app.
The app does not use the camera for background capture, recording, advertising, or unrelated analytics purposes.
If you do not want to use camera scanning, voucher redemption can still be completed by manually entering the voucher code where that fallback is available.
4. Storage and uploaded content
If you upload a logo, gallery image, or other business media, that content is stored so it can be shown in the app and admin tools.
5. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app may send alerts related to rewards, lucky draws, events, account activity, and operational updates.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, including hosting, authentication, database, storage, analytics, and messaging infrastructure.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce platform rules.
